Repair Your Kidneys in 3 Days

Repair Your Kidneys in 2 Days

Kidneys are one of the most important organs in the human body. The kidneys perform various extreme important functions in the human body and you should take good care of them.

Medical experts explain that the kidneys filter about 120-150 quarts of blood, to produce 1-2 quarts of urine, but also filter the waste and extra fluid out of the body. As it is mentioned above, the kidneys perform many vital functions in the human body including the following:

  • prevent build-up of waste in the body, keep electrolyte levels stable,
  • make hormones that regulate blood pressure, make blood cells, and maintain strong bones.

According to statistical data, over 26 million Americans have kidney disease and even 1 in 3 American adults is currently at risk for developing the disease, which is shocking.  In addition to that, medical experts warn that in the United States only, the kidney disease is cause of death at more people than breast or prostate cancer.

There are many factors that can lead to kidney damage and some of them are type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, disease called glomerulonephritis which damages the kidney’s filtering units, infections, kidney stones and overuse of the over-the-counter pain killers.

How does the kidneys work?

The endocrine system produces hormones and enzymes to help digest food into safer chemicals that the body can process. Pancreas is the organ that produces most of sodium bicarbonate in order to protect the kidneys during digestion.

In certain cases, the kidneys will produce additional amounts and that depends on the type of food you consume.

For instance, if your diet includes added sugar, fried foods, fatty foods and other unhealthy choices, your endocrine system can become stressed. Due to that fact, both the pancreas and the kidneys will suffer from substantial reduction in their ability to produce sodium bicarbonate effectively. You should be aware that if there is not enough production of bicarbonate, the acids produced during digestion will not be effectively neutralized and that will kidney damage.

Another important fact that should be mentioned is that sodium bicarbonate is one of the most important agents used in dialysis or other treatments for kidney damage. The process that is called acid buffering aids is responsible for the removal of excess fluids and waste material from the bloodstream. In the process of dialysis, sodium bicarbonate is added to the body as the kidneys are no longer able to produce it in order to process food and waste materials.

Group of researchers at the U.S. National Health Institute recently conducted a study in which they have revealed and showed the effectiveness of sodium bicarbonate dialysis in the place of normal dialysis. Namely, the patients placed on this treatment showed greater nitrate oxide synthase, which is a process that balances the pH level of the blood.

How to cleanse and improve the function of your kidneys

You can repair the kidneys after damage, and you will need just one common household item that you probably already have in your kitchen. That ingredient is baking soda.

1st Day – you should dissolve ½ teaspoon baking soda under the tongue

2nd Day – you should mix ½ teaspoon baking soda and ½ teaspoon of salt into 1.5 liters of water and drink each day in period of 2 – 3 days.

3rd day – you should reduce the daily dosage to ¼ teaspoon of baking soda and 1/3  teaspoon of salt.

Renal diet

If you have kidney disease, it’s important to follow a special diet and eat certain foods When the kidneys aren’t working properly, waste builds up in the blood including waste products from food. That’s why for most people with advanced kidney disease, it’s important to follow a kidney-friendly diet that helps decrease the amount of waste in the blood and boost kidney function while protecting it from further damage.

While dietary restrictions vary depending on the individual, it’s common for patients to restrict the following nutrients.

  • Sodium is found in many foods and a major component of table salt. Now, damaged kidneys can’t filter out excess sodium, causing its blood levels to rise. It’s often recommended to limit sodium to less than 2,000 milligrams per day.
  • Potassium plays many critical roles in the body, but those with kidney disease need to limit potassium to avoid dangerously high blood levels. It’s usually recommended to limit potassium to less than 2,000 milligrams per day.
  • Phosphorus, a mineral in many foods. High levels can cause damage to the body so, dietary phosphorus is restricted to less than 800 to 1,000 milligrams per day in most patients.
  • Protein is another nutrient that people with kidney disease may need to limit, as waste products from protein metabolism can’t be cleared out by damaged kidneys.  However, those with end-stage renal disease undergoing dialysis, which is a treatment that filters and cleans the blood, they might have greater protein needs. But that would be working with a specialist.

Each person with kidney disease is different, and that’s why it’s important to talk to your healthcare provider about the best diet for you.

Foods that are low in sodium, potassium, and phosphorus.

Cauliflower is a nutritious vegetable that’s high in many nutrients including vitamin C, K, and folate. One cup or 124 grams of cooked cauliflower contains 19 milligrams of sodium, 176 milligrams of potassium, and 40 milligrams of phosphorus.

Plus, like the mashed cauliflower can be used as a replacement for potato, as a low potassium side dish.

Red grapes

Not only are red grapes delicious, they’re also high in vitamin C and contain beneficial compounds called flavonoids. Additionally, red grapes are high in resveratrol. A type of flavonoid that has been shown to benefit heart health and protect against diabetes and cognitive decline. They are, of course, kidney friendly as well with half a cup containing 1.5 milligrams of sodium, milligrams of potassium,

and 15 milligrams of phosphorus.

Blueberries are packed with nutrients and one of the best sources of antioxidants that you can eat. In particular, these sweet berries contain antioxidants called anthocyanins, which may protect against heart disease, certain cancers, cognitive decline and diabetes. One cup or 148 grams of fresh blueberries contains only 1.5 milligrams of sodium, 114 milligrams of potassium and 18 milligrams of phosphorus.

Egg whites

Although eggs are nutritious, the yolk’s really high in phosphorus. Making just the egg white more appropriate for someone following a renal diet.  Fortunately, egg whites provide a high quality, kidney-friendly source of protein because they’re very low in phosphorus. Two large egg whites contain 110 milligrams of sodium, 108 milligrams of potassium, and only 10 milligrams of phosphorus.

Macadamia nuts

Most popular nuts like almonds and peanuts are high in phosphorus and not recommended for people on a renal diet. However, macadamia nuts are a delicious and low phosphorus option. Now one ounce or 28 grams of macadamia nuts contains 1.4 milligrams of sodium, 103 milligrams of potassium, and 53 milligrams of phosphorus.

Skinless chicken

Although a limited protein intake is necessary for some kidney issues, providing the body with adequate amounts of high-quality protein is vital to health. Skinless chicken breasts contain about 60 milligrams of sodium and about 200 milligrams of potassium and phosphorus, which is a lot less than skin on chicken.

When shopping for chicken, choose fresh chicken and avoid pre-made roasted chicken as it contains large amounts of sodium and phosphorus.

Additional advice:

Don’t forget that you should avoid all products that dehydrate the body, such as tea, foods and drinks that are high in crystalline sugar, coffee, carbonated drinks and alcohol. Moreover, you should not eat more than the daily recommended amount of protein, and the reason for that is because excessive protein intake can put strain on your kidneys, causing more severe damage. It is advisable to consume foods rich in vitamin B complex because they are well known to aid in protein elimination from the body. Eat a lot of fruits, grains and vegetables.
